Thomas R. Merrill, a 69-year-old resident of Beaverdam Lane in Palm Coast, was booked at the Flagler County jail on an assault charge after getting in an alleged altercation involving a gun with a woman who was living with him. He is the father of William Carson Merrill, the man sentenced to 25 years in prison for accidentally shooting and killing his wife in Palm Coast early last year.

Embry-Riddle Training Plane’s Door Crashes to Pavement at 16 College Court in Palm Coast
A canopy door from a two-engine plane belonging to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University came undone during a training run over Palm Coast’s C-Section around 4:30 p.m. Thursday and fell to earth, slamming the pavement within yards of several houses around a cul-de-sac. Man Drags Another With His Car in an Apparent Drug Deal Gone Bad. Both Are Arrested.
Corey Miller and John Stubbs, both of Bunnell, were arrested on Railroad Street Tuesday after Miller dragged Stubbs with his car following what appeared to be a deal for cocaine that cops may have interrupted. Both men have previous records, including four years in prison for Stubbs on a cocaine trafficking conviction.
