Cavernous charter: Wednesday evening's second of four Palm Coast charter-review workshops, held at Indian Trails Middle School, drew as few people as the first one did. The charter is Palm Coast's constitution. The city is putting on workshops ostensibly to involve the public in reviewing the document and propose changes, but participation is strictly limited, and the workshops don't involve any public discussions. Wednesday's meeting drew a little over a dozen people, including a former mayor, a former council member and a sitting advisory council member, along with several who had attended the first meeting. City staffers, council members and the 'facilitator' totaled 10 people. Only two council members showed up, down from four at the last meeting. From Palm Coast Volunteer Fire and Rescue: 'The Palm Coast Fire Police were recently honored by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office & Sheriff Rick Staly. The Palm Coast Fire Police assist with traffic control at motor vehicle crashes, fire scenes and emergency incidents.
