Thursday Briefing: FEMA Town Hall in Flagler Beach, Audubon Society, Conan on Vega,s Indian Trails Band Concert

October 5, 2017 | FlaglerLive | Leave a Comment

Cavernous charter: Wednesday evening's second of four Palm Coast charter-review workshops, held at Indian Trails Middle School, drew as few people as the first one did. The charter is Palm Coast's constitution. The city is putting on workshops ostensibly to involve the public in reviewing the document and propose changes, but participation is strictly limited, and the workshops don't involve any public discussions. Wednesday's meeting drew a little over a dozen people, including a former mayor, a former council member and a sitting advisory council member, along with several who had attended the first meeting. City staffers, council members and the 'facilitator' totaled 10 people. Only two council members showed up, down from four at the last meeting. The Observer and the News-Journal, which had covered the first meeting, did not cover this one. We did not find it necessary to stay long, either. (c FlaglerLive)

So it finally failed. (c FlaglerLive)
