Free For All Fridays on WNZF, host David Ayres welcomes County Administrator Craig Coffey, County Commissioner Greg Hansen, new Chamber President Jorge Gutierrez, and Palm Coast City Council member Steve Nobile, starting a little after 9 a.m. With a commentary by FlaglerLive Editor Pierre Tristam on the Afghan body bags series, renewed for a 17th season.

Friday: Scenic A1A Pride committee meets at 9 a.m. at the Hammock Community Center, 79 Mala Compra Rd., with a discussion on mixed-use low-intensity land use in the Hammock.

Friday: The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Children and Families have teamed up to host a demonstration on the dangers of leaving a child inside a vehicle. Last month, more infants died in hot car deaths than any other July in nearly a decade, according to research completed by San Jose State University. So far this year 29 children have died that way. The demonstration will be accompanied by handouts of life-saving tips and tricks to prevent such tragedy from occurring. The demonstration is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Target Shopping Plaza, 5100 E. Highway 100, Palm Coast.

Saturday: First Aid and CPR/AED class all day, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Palm Coast Fire Station 25, 1250 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. This class is a 7-hour course (one hour for lunch) designed to meet OSHA regulations and teach administering CPR to children and adults, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), using a mask or barrier device, assisting with bleeding, broken bones. $5/person with pre-registration required by 9 a.m. Aug. 24. Saturday: The Columbian Club of Palm Coast, a distant cousin of the Knights of Columbus, hosts a Roaring Twenties dinner and dance party, with music by Debbie Owen and Tony T, with cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m., $25 a person. Tickets available by calling Maria Laurent at 904/430-3381.

Saturday: Wine Walk and Art Walk, 10 to 5 p.m., New Smyrna Beach: Starting at 1 p.m., explore over 100 interesting wines inside local pubs, galleries and restaurants during this monthly progressive wine tasting event. Wine tasting passports are $25 and are available at Exit Realty (Flagler & Peninsula), at the tent at Flagler Avenue and Cooper Street, or at the corner of Peninsula Drive and Flagler Avenue. Passports include 20 tasting tickets and a keepsake wine glass. Some locations feature both one- and multi-ticket wines to sample. Those who want to share their 20 tasting tickets with a friend may get an additional wine glass for $5. Flagler Avenue will NOT be closed for this event, which takes place inside sponsor locations. Saturday: Kick International hosts a Florida State Championship at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. The event is devoted to youth and features a complete circuit of tournaments, camps and seminars designed to provide young martial artists with a safe, fair and motivating environment in which to test their skills. Seniors with diabetes invited to participate in free class at Wickline: Seniors with diabetes are invited to participate in a free six-week class to be held at the George Wickline Senior Center in Flagler Beach. The class runs from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, September 12 through October 17. ElderSource and the Northeast Florida Area Health Education Center are sponsoring the series of workshops. The program is free, but pre-registration is required. It is open to those who are 60 years or older, and who have diabetes. Those interested should call the Northeast Florida Area Health Education Center at 877-784-8486. Class dates are September 12, 19 and 26, and October 3, 10 and 17.
