In Court: The sentencing of Joseph Milici, accused of robbing a CVS pharmacy in 2011 and selling drugs in 2013, is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Courtroom 401 before Circuit Judge Dennis Craig.

The Palm Coast City Council meets at 9 a.m. at City Hall in Town Center: Council members are expected to decide how to handle the last proposed moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries, and approve a contract for concessions, the restaurant and other services at the troubled Palm Harbor Golf Club. Palm Coast Utility Technician Brice Wright will be recognized for taking life-saving measures on behalf of a victim when he drove by a crash on Palm Coast Parkway and Pine Lakes Parkway in mid-June.

The Flagler County School Board meets for a workshop at 1 p.m. in Trainin g Room 3 on the third floor of the Government Services Building, Bunnell, when it will discuss safeguards for students using school-issued computers and a potential sale of its old, now buildingless-property at Corporate One. It will also discuss its legislative priorities. The board meets again at 6 p.m. in board chambers, when it is expected to approve an amendment to Superintendent James Tager’s contract that spells out bonus incentives.

Food Truck Tuesdays, 5-8 p.m. at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave, Palm Coast. Historic bus trip: Join local author Bill Ryan to learn about historic and interesting county sites on the monthly bus trip sponsored by the Flagler County Historical Society. The bus leaves from the Holden House, 204 East Moody Boulevard in Bunnell at 10 a.m. and returns at 2:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per person which does not include lunch at The Bull Creek Fish Comp. You are Invited to a Senior Focus Group Wednesday, August 30: On behalf of the City of Palm Coast, ElderSource has been asked to facilitate a senior focus group to discuss the development of additional programs for seniors in Flagler County and the function of an expanded community center. As the City looks to its future and plans for a new facility, the City Council thought it would be in the best interest of the project to seek feedback, questions and commentary from the community before the project progressed any further. Any interested persons or parties are invited to attend and participate in this discussion. ElderSource is a non-profit agency designated by the state as the Area Agency on Aging and Aging & Disability Resource Center for Northeast Florida. ElderSource serves as the focal point to which older adults, adults with disabilities, caregivers, and the general public can receive information, referral, assistance and answers on aging issues. The focus group is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 30, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the community wing of Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Avenue, in Town Center. Flagler County Seeking Veteran of the Year Nominations: The award will be presented to a living Flagler County veteran who has not only served the United States with honor, but has used the leadership skills and abilities learned in the military to improve the Flagler County community through selfless volunteer service. GOP primary: A special primary election will be held for Republican candidates in Orange County’s House District 44, which became open when former Rep. Eric Eisnaugle, R-Orlando, was appointed as an appeals-court judge. The Republican candidates are Usha Jain, John Newstreet, Robert Olszewski and Bruno Portigliatti. The special general election is Oct. 10.

General revenue: The Revenue Estimating Conference will update estimates for state general revenue, which plays a critical role in helping pay for education, health and criminal-justice programs. (9 a.m., 117 Knott Building, the Capitol.)

Economic development initiative: Northwest Florida political and business leaders will announce an economic-development initiative dubbed the Gulf to Gadsden Freight Logistics Zone. Among the leaders taking part in the announcement will be Sen. Bill Montford, D-Tallahassee; Rep. Halsey Beshears, R-Monticello; and Rep. Ramon Alexander, D-Tallahassee. Nuclear power costs: The Florida Public Service Commission will hold a hearing on nuclear-project costs. A key part of the hearing likely will focus on a Florida Power & Light plan to continue pursuing a crucial license for two proposed nuclear reactors in Miami-Dade County and then pausing for what could be years before making decisions about whether to move forward with the project. The utility is asking the Public Service Commission to allow it to recoup costs from customers in the future for the licensing and other expenses.
