Free For All Friday on WNZF: Host David Ayres welcomes Superintendent James Tager, school district Finance Director Tom Tant, and a couple of principals in a back-to-school special, starting with a commentary by FlaglerLive Editor Pierre Tristam on why Donald Trump will win in 2020.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: A three-day sales tax “holiday” allows families to buy clothes, school supplies and computer equipment without paying sales taxes. The tax holiday applies to clothes costing $60 or less, school supplies costing $15 or less and computers and accessories costing $750 or less. The holiday starts at 12:01 a.m. Friday and lasts through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6. Details here.

First Friday in Flagler Beach, starting around 6 p.m. at veterans Park. Soul Fire is playing live music, with exchibits, vendors and a play zone for children.

Friday: Ocean Art Gallery holds an art opening reception for Atlantic Beach artist Lorraine Millspaugh and simultaneously celebrate the gallery’s fifth anniversary with a gala event that includes an art demonstration by the artist, live music by the DrCash Band, refreshments including champagne, door prizes, and special pricing on all wall art. The celebration starts at 6 p.m., 206 Moody Blvd (SR100). It is open to the public.

Saturday: Canal Street Historic District Craft Beer Walk and Gallery Walk, New Smyrna Beach. Sample craft beers along historic canal street. Tickets are $20 and include a six-ounce Canal Street souvenir glass and 12 sampling tickets that can be redeemed at 10 locations in the district. The walk is held on the first Saturday of each month. Artistic vendors set up along the historic Canal Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Musical artists play from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Christmas Park, 101 Live Oak Street. Galleries feature solo and group exhibitions and artist talks in the Douglas Avenue area of the district and at the Hub from 4 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

Sunday: The Palm Coast Farmers Market at European Village runs from Noon to 4 p.m. K9s for Warriors will be bringing some of their service dogs and information. The cookout is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with grilled burgers, hot dogs and chicken for sale. There will also be raffle items from the vendors to raise money for K9s for Warriors. Founded in 2011, K9s For Warriors is dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury as a result of military service post 9/11. The organization’s goal is to give a new leash on life to rescue dogs and military heroes, empowering warriors to return to civilian life with dignity and independence.

Blood donations on the Big Red Bus: Friday, at the Staples shopping center off Old Kings Road, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday at Walmart, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Sunday at Epic Theaters in Palm Coast from noon to 6 p.m. and at European Village from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For a full list of dates and locations for the bus, go here.

Traffic signal loops to be installed, causing some lane closures on Belle Terre Parkway on night of Aug. 8: The City of Palm Coast’s Public Works Department will be replacing three traffic signal loops at the intersection of southbound Belle Terre Parkway and westbound Palm Coast Parkway on the night of Tuesday, Aug. 8, and there will be some lane closures while the work is being done. The work will begin at 9 p.m. Deputies will be assisting with traffic control. Motorists and other travelers should expect traffic delays. The City of Palm Coast appreciates the patience and cooperation of the public during this important traffic signal loop installation project.
