The Flagler County Technical Review Committee meets at 9 a.m. in the First Floor Conference Room of the Government Services Building, Bunnell.
The Tourist Development Council meeting scheduled for 10 a.m. today has been cancelled.
The Florida League of Cities‘ mayors meet at noon at Palm Coast City Hall in Town Center.
The Flagler County Contractor Review Board meets at 5 p.m. in board chambers at the Government Services Building, Bunnell.
The Palm Coast Planning & Land Development Regulation Board meets at 5:30 at City Hall in Town Center.
The Flagler Youth Orchestra‘s five ensembles are all in concert at the Flagler Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for those 18 and older. Younger people pay $1. $1 of each adult ticket goes toward the auditorium’s Arts in Education fund.
The Palm Coast Fire Department will be offering a free Car Seat Safety Check event at Palm Coast Fire Station 25, 1250 Belle Terre Pkwy. No appointment is necessary. Firefighters who are trained as car seat technicians will check to make sure car seats are installed properly and to the manufacturer and vehicle specifications. Bring the car seat manual and vehicle owner’s manual, if available. For those who are unable to attend the event, but would like to arrange a free Car Seat Safety Check on a different date, please call the Fire Department at 386-986-2300 to schedule an appointment. These checks can be done at any of the City’s five fire stations. Road injuries are the leading cause of accidental deaths to children in the United States. Correctly used, child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71 percent.

- Sunday, Nov. 19, Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive, Palm Coast, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rotary Requests Volunteer Bands For Fantasy Lights: The Fantasy Lights event at Palm Coast’s Central Park put on by the Rotary Club of Flagler County is looking for bands to entertain in the evening. Fantasy Lights runs the entire month of December and is a popular event with families who come to see the lights display, snow and Santa. Church bands and choirs, school groups and individuals and others are invited to sign up and sing seasonal music for the holidays. Sound equipment is available but groups can also bring their own sound equipment. Jayer Williamson, R-Pace, that would make clear the Florida Public Service Commission has “exclusive jurisdiction” to decide whether underground transmission lines are required for power-plant projects. MEDICAL MARIJUANA DISCUSSED: The House Health Quality Subcommittee will receive an update about implementation of a medical-marijuana law passed during a June special session. (Wednesday, 8:30 a.m., 306 House Office Building, the Capitol.)
SENATE CONSIDERS BETHUNE STATUE: The Senate Appropriations Committee will take up a bill (SB 472), filed by Sen. Perry Thurston, D-Fort Lauderdale, that calls for placing a statue of civil-rights activist and educator Mary McLeod Bethune in the National Statuary Hall at the U.S. Capitol. The statue of Bethune would replace a likeness of Confederate Gen. Edmund Kirby Smith, who has long represented Florida in the hall. (Wednesday, 9 a.m., 412 Knott Building, the Capitol.)
LAW ENFORCEMENT RADIO SYSTEM DISCUSSED: The House Government Operations &Technology Appropriations Subcommittee will receive an update from the Department of Management Services related to a state law-enforcement radio system.
