The Flagler County Association of Realtors holds its general membership meeting at 8:30 a.m., 4101 E Moody Blvd, Bunnell, where Rep. Paul Renner will provide an update on the 2018 Legislative Session. (We had incorrectly reported that Renner’s appearance was to be on March 25.)

In Court: William G. Schwarz, who faces two counts of DUI manslaughter and two counts of vehicular hmomicide in the death of Kathleen J. Boos of Palm Coast and Carl W. Boos in a crash on State Road A1A in March 2016, is scheduled for docket sounding, the last step before trial absent a plea, at 1:30 p.m. before Circuit Judge Dennis Craig in Courtroom 401 at the Flagler County courthouse.

The Flagler County Economic Opportunity Advisory Council meets at 9 a.m. in board chambers at the Government Services Building, Bunnell. Margaret Sheehan-Jones, the commercial Realtor, and Barbara Revels, will present.

The Bunnell Area Council hosts a 6 p.m. meeting called “Business in Bunnell.” Guests will introduce themselves, their businesses, ask questions, voice concerns and share successes. Bunnell Old City Hall, 200 S Church St., Bunnell.

Flagler Reads Together: The Flagler Book Club gathers to discuss this year’s selection at 3:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the county public library, 2500 Palm Coast Pkwy. Flagler Reads Together is an annual event that celebrates reading through a single book read in common by participants. This year’s book is “The Alice Network,” by Kate Quinn, the story of women spies during the two world wars.

A meeting of the Compassionate Friends is scheduled at the Vitas Office at 4 North Old Kings Road (across from Kentucky Fried Chicken) in Palm Coast. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. The Compassionate Friends, a nonprofit self-help bereavement support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. The meeting is open to all parents, grandparents, and siblings over age 18 who has suffered the loss of a child of any age. For more information, call John Brady at 610-428- 3139. DSC Job Fair: Business representatives from a variety of industry sectors will be on hand seeking to fill positions during Daytona State College’s Spring Job Fair slated from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lemerand Center on the Daytona Beach Campus, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd. The event is free and open to the public. The largest of numerous job fairs presented annually by DSC’s Career Services Department, the spring event has drawn nearly 500 job seekers in the past few years. Over 80 businesses representing such industry sectors as finance, health care, government, manufacturing, education, hospitality, building and construction, technology and non-profit organizations have confirmed their participation in the job fair. Current DSC students and alumni are welcome to visit the college’s Career Services Department prior to the job fair for assistance with resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation and other free services. The Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America hosts the 2018 Golden Eagle Dinner with guest of honor Sandra McDermott of Coast Title Insurance Agency and Dinner Chairman Rick Staly, the Flagler County Sheriff, at Hammock Dunes Country Club, 30 Ave Royale Palm Coast, Reception at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m.

Roscolusa 2018: The 7th annual singer-songwriters festival will showcase the talent of Nashville, TN on Ponte Vedra’s beaches for this one-night musical event you won’t forget. Adult Open Gym Volleyball, two separate sessions, Mondays or Wednesdays, now through May 2, 7-9:30 p.m. at Indian Trails Middle School, 5505 N. Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. Navy Bombing in the Ocala National Forest: Navy training schedules indicate that inert and live bombing will take place at the Pinecastle Range Complex located in the Ocala National Forest this week. Bombings at times can be heard in Flagler-Palm Coast. The bombings are scheduled as follows:

• Wednesday: Noon to 2 p.m. – Live, 3:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. – Inert
• Thursday: 12:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. – Inert

During bombing periods wildlife may be temporarily displaced. Use extra caution when driving through the Ocala National forest and surrounding areas. Secure any items around your residence that could attract wildlife. Always be mindful of larger animals including black bears and practice bearwise measures. UNIVERSITY BUDGET, LEGISLATIVE ISSUES DISCUSSED: Committees of the state university system’s Board of Governors will hold a series of meetings. Among the topics will be the Budget and Finance Committee receiving updated information about the new state budget and performance-based funding. Also, the Legislative Affairs Committee will discuss issues from the recently completed legislative session. DIESEL EMISSIONS DISCUSSED: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will hold one in a series of meetings about a diesel-emissions mitigation program, which stems from a federal settlement with Volkswagen about violations of the Clean Air Act. Road and Interstate Construction:

Motorists are advised of nighttime ramp closures with detours next week at two locations along Interstate 4 (I-4) and Interstate 95 (I-95) in Volusia County. The entrance ramp from State Road (S.R.) 472 westbound to I-4 eastbound, in the Orange City area, will close for two nights early next week. Drivers will be directed to travel I-4 westbound to Saxon Boulevard toward Deltona to access I-4 eastbound. Also, a nighttime single outside lane closure will occur during two nights, toward the end of the week, along westbound I-4 west of Dirksen Drive. Entrance and exit ramps at I-95 and LPGA Boulevard will close one-at-a-time, on multiple nights, during the upcoming week. Drivers will be directed as follows:

I-95 northbound on ramp from eastbound LPGA Boulevard: Continue east on LPGA Boulevard to Technology Drive to Cornerstone Boulevard to Williamson Boulevard to LPGA Boulevard back to I-95.
I-95 southbound on ramp from westbound LPGA Boulevard: Continue west on LPGA Boulevard to Tomoka Farms Road to Bellevue Avenue to Williamson Boulevard, to S.R. 400/Beville Road and back to I-95 south.
I-95 southbound off ramp to LPGA Boulevard: Continue south on I-95 to U.S. 92 to Tomoka Farms Road back to LPGA Boulevard.

The closures are necessary to construct lighting foundations as part of two Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects to install new lighting along I-4 and I-95.
