Primary Election Early Voting is available today in Bunnell, Palm Coast and Flagler Beach from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at five locations. Any registered and qualified voter who is eligible to vote in a county-wide election may vote in person at any of the early voting site, regardless of assigned precinct. According to Florida law, every voter must present a Florida driver’s license, a Florida identification card or another form of acceptable picture and signature identification in order to vote. If you do not present the required identification or if your eligibility cannot be determined, you will only be permitted to vote a provisional ballot. Don’t forget your ID. A couple of secure drop boxes that Ron DeSantis and the GOP legislature haven’t yet banned (also known as Secure Ballot Intake Stations) are available at the entrance of the Elections Office and at any early voting site during voting hours. The locations are as follows:

The Saturday Flagler Beach Farmers Market is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at its new location on South 2nd Street, right in front of City Hall, featuring prepared food, fruit, vegetables , handmade products and local arts from more than 30 local merchants. The market is hosted by Flagler Strong, a non-profit.
The Flagler Beach All Stars hold their monthly beach clean-up starting at 9 a.m. in front of the Flagler Beach pier. All volunteers welcome.
Coffee With Commissioner Scott Spradley: Flagler Beach Commission Chairman Scott Spradley hosts his weekly informal town hall with coffee and doughnuts at 9 a.m. at his law office at 301 South Central Avenue, Flagler Beach. All subjects, all interested residents or non-residents welcome. The gatherings usually feature a special guest.
Second Saturday Plant Sale at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, 6400 North Oceanshore Blvd., Palm Coast, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Flowers, bushes and hard to find plants. The event is sponsored by the Friends of Washington Oaks. Regular entrance fee applies: $4 per vehicle with one person aboard, $5 for vehicles with more than one person.
American Association of University Women (AAUW) Monthly Meeting, 11 a.m. at Cypress Knoll Golf Club, 53 Easthampton Blvd, Palm Coast. A monthly speaker is featured. Randy Fine Press Conference/Campaign Stop at Beverly Beach Town Hall: A little more than a week from the Aug. 18 primary, U.S. Rep. Randy Fine, who is battling several competitors, including palm Coast’s Charles Gambaro, is holding what his office bills as a noon press conference at the Beverly Beach Town Hall, 2735 North Ocean Shore Boulevard, to tout FEMA funding for beach projects in Flagler County.
Gamble Jam: Join us from 2 to 4 p.m. for the Gamble Jam—a laid-back, toe-tappin’ tribute to the legendary Florida folk singer and storyteller, James Gamble Rogers IV! Grace Community Food Pantry, 245 Education Way, Bunnell, drive-thru open today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The food pantry is organized by Pastor Charles Silano and Grace Community Food Pantry, a Disaster Relief Agency in Flagler County. Feeding Northeast Florida helps local children and families, seniors and active and retired military members who struggle to put food on the table. Working with local grocery stores, manufacturers, and farms we rescue high-quality food that would normally be wasted and transform it into meals for those in need. The Flagler County School District provides space for much of the food pantry storage and operations. Call 386-586-2653 to help, volunteer or donate.

And yet, that doesn’t seem to bother Republicans. They don’t seem to mind that Trump’s sons are getting government contracts, along with some of his *friends*. They don’t mind that his son in law is dealing with the Arabs, along with his real estate buddy, “negotiating” something, though they have no official positions. They don’t seem to mind Trump is now bringing his other son, and his other son in law into the grifting craft, stealing us blind. That, they don’t seem to mind.
But a scientist, with a lifelong history of helping people, by the millions, and saving lives by researching and fighting viruses, who has spoken before congress over 200 times, and advised seven Presidents, and given two Presidential awards…THAT they mind!
Oh yeah, the intelligentsia. Fascists are quick to get rid of the “intelligentsia”. The educated. Can’t have them around, they may influence people to become educated, making them harder to control. The educated were the first to leave Cuba when Castro came into power. They are leaving our country now, as Trump fights the universities, and the laws tell these educated they cannot practice what they have learned to help society.
