In Court: Former massage therapist Justus Scott of Palm Coast, facing a felony for allegedly secretly taking video of a client while she was getting undressed, is scheduled for a possible plea before Circuit Judge Terence Perkins at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 401 at the Flagler County courthouse.
The Flagler County Technical Review Committee meets at 9 a.m. in the First Floor Conference Room of the Government Services Building, Bunnell.
The Tourist Development Council meets at 10 a.m. in board chambers at Government Services Building, Bunnell.

Spelling Bee: You’ve been asked if you’re smarter than a fifth grader. But, can you outspell a fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth grader? We promise you’ll have a tough time resisting the urge to reach for your smartphone as you try to (silently) spell along with our contestants. Our county champion will go on to our regional competition in Jacksonville. The 75th Annual First Coast Regional Spelling Bee will be held February 19 at Jacksonville University. Playground at Palm Coast Community Center to be closed temporarily, on Jan. 28: The playground and patio area at the Palm Coast Community Center will be closed temporarily, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, for installation of new mulch. The basketball courts and trailhead at the Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE, will remain open during the project.

BOARD OF ED MEETS IN PANHANDLE: The State Board of Education will meet in Northwest Florida, with new Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran taking part in his first meeting. Corcoran, a former Republican House speaker from Land O’ Lakes, was recently appointed to replace former Commissioner Pam Stewart. INSURANCE ‘SUMMIT’ CONTINUES: The state Office of Insurance Regulation will conclude a two-day insurance “summit,” with speakers including Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier and topics such as challenges in the life-insurance market.
