Free For All Friday on WNZF: Host David Ayres welcomes Flagler County School Board member Andy Dance, along with Susan Couslin of Score, David Holland and Karl Romain (guests subject to change), starting with a commentary by FlaglerLive Editor Pierre Tristam on Colin Kaepernick and the national anthem.

Friday: Flagler Palm Coast High School hosts a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at the Flagler Auditorium at 8:30 a.m.

Friday: The Flagler County School Board meets in special session to approve its annual financial statement, in board chambers at the Government Services Building, 10 a.m.

Friday: Phenomenal Black Women of Jazz Celebration at the African American Cultural Center, 4422 US Hwy 1 North, Palm Coast, starting at 6 p.m.

Friday: Movie In The Park featuring “Jurassic World,” Central Park in Town Center (975 Central Avenue). The movie begins at dusk and admission is free. Bring blankets, chairs, picnic baskets, bug spray and make plans to come early with your family, friends and neighbors.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday: “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown,” a Musical, at Palm Coast’s City Repertory Theatre, at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays from Sept. 9-Oct. 2 in City Market Place, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite 207B, Palm Coast. Saturday Chess Tournament: The Jacksonville Chess Club hosts two tournaments at Ramada Inn Baymeadows and I-95, 9150 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville, Saturday. The Jacksonville September Open is for all players, all levels, for a $30 entry fee ($25 for members of the club), with two sections (Open and U1500), with $325 in prizes. Four rounds, G/60-d5, walkup registration at 9:30 a.m. The Fall Scholastic Series (K-12 only) has two sections, K-12 Open & K-6 U700. Trophies to top 3 finishers in each section. Grand prix points to all participants that count toward series trophy levels when combined with wins or draws. Four rounds, G/30-d5, walk-up registration at 9 a.m.

Saturday: The Palm Coast & the Flagler Beaches Senior Games kick off Saturday and continue daily for a week. The public is invited to attend and cheer on the athletes at a week’s worth of competitions at various locations in Palm Coast and Bunnell. Admission for spectators is free. Events are open to men and women 50 years and older competing against other athletes of the same gender and age group. The Games for Active Adults are sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation and serve as a local qualifying event for the Florida State Games. See the detailed schedule here.

Saturday: Intracoastal Waterway Cleanup starting at 8 a.m. Sept. 10 at the Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE, where supplies will be distributed to commence the morning activities. Walkers can clean Palm Coast’s paths and trails, and boaters can work in saltwater canals and Intracoastal waters. Details here.

Saturday: African Art: Ancient Egypt to the Contemporary World, a pair of presentations by Bertrand Green, former chairman of African American studies at Lehman College, City University of New York. The first session is from 10 a.m. to noon, the second session from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, Palm Coast. $20 for PCAF members, $25 for general admission. Sunday: A ceremony honoring emergency responders killed during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks takes place at Heroes Memorial Park on Palm Coast Parkway at 8 a.m. The ceremony will include a tribute to firefighters, police officers, paramedics and EMTs, with a presentation of wreaths at the respective memorials by active duty emergency responders and 9/11 survivors. Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts and retired New York Fire Department Capt. Rich Meo will speak. The National Moment of Silence at 8:46 a.m. which marks the time the terrorist attacks began when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center, will be observed.
