The Chamber Players of Palm Coast, under the direction of Paige Dashner Long, are in concert at Palm Coast United Methodist Church Sunday, March 16, at 4 p.m. The event features a special appearance by the Flagler Youth Orchestra’s Harmony Chamber ensemble, the youth orchestra’s most advanced group.

The concert will feature bright and melodious pieces from the classical repertoire, including works by Haydn, Mozart, Stamitz and Boyce.

Violinists are Dorothy Barrett, Penny Crouch, Sue Cryan, El Gervasio, Chris Romaine, Jack Jeffe and Phil Pearson, with concertmaster Maggie Snively;  cellists are Barbara Burton, Virginia Conrad and Sandy Pearson, under the direction of Paige Dashner Long, from the flute and harpsichord.

Sue Cryan will be directing the Youth Orchestra ensemble.

The concert is free and open to all. Invite family and friends. For more details, call 386-445-1600.

 Here’s the program:

William Boyce

Symphony No 4 in F Major

Carl Stamitz

Orchestral Quartet in G Major

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Alleluia from Exsultate Jubilate

Franz Joseph Haydn

London Symphony No 94 “Surprise”

And although the Mozart piece will be the instrumental version only, here’s the great Kiri Te Kanawa singing the original Exultate Jubilate as only she could:
