On Aug. 16, Buddy Taylor Middle School will welcome teachers 18 months and $13.2 million after undergoing a renovation that often resembled an excavation. (For the full story, see “Buddy Taylor Middle Is Reborn Yet Again.”) On Aug. 23, the school will welcome students back.

The renovation looks great. Now go back after one year, take the same photos, and see how much the students appreciate the “new digs”.

Kudos on your great new school!
One major observation…Not understanding the lack of windows/natural light. Looks a bit odd from the outside and sad/dark—except for pretty awful overuse of flourescent tube lighting.
Would think more natural light would be a better environment for learning.
Anyway, sure everyone will love the new digs!!
