A 14-year-old student was arrested for bringing a loaded gun to Buddy Taylor Middle School today. The gun had been reported stolen out of an unlocked car in Palm Coast in April.
Texts alleging a gun threat at Buddy Taylor but that are apparently a month old have resurfaced in the past 24 hours, causing concern at school and the apprehension of at least one student.
The 14-year-old student wanted to see the younger student’s reaction so it could be filmed and texted on SnapChat, and later punched his victim to the ground for snitching on him.
The student was treated for minor injuries at Florida Hospital Flagler, and by just after noon, had been released. The driver was cited for failing to yield, and is on administrative leave.

Benjamin Perrine, a 44-year-old resident of 1 Plumtree Place in Palm Coast, was upset about his lost dog and neighbors calling in noise complaints. A bomb-sniffing unit went through Buddy Taylor this morning as a precaution. No bombs were found, and school was not interrupted.
