The Palm Coast City Council meets in workshop at 9 a.m. at City Hall in Town Center. City Manager Jim Landon will again ask for a raise. The council will also discuss what questions to have on its next citizens’ survey, though the proposed survey has already been framed by the city manager, and discuss its agreement with the sheriff’s office, which provides policing in Palm Coast.
The Flagler County Centennial Committee meets at 1:30 p.m. in the executive conference room of the Emergency Operations Center, Bunnell.

Vienna Boys’ Choir at Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach, 7 p.m., one performance only. Live Bombing: Navy training schedules indicate that live and inert bombing will take place at the Pinecastle Range Complex located in the Ocala National Forest, which may reverberate as far as Palm Coast, today (Tuesday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with live bombing, and 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. with inert bombing, and again on Wednesday, Feb. 2, with live bombing from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and inert bombing from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. The telephone number for noise complaints is 1-800-874-5059, Fleet Area Control and Surveillance Facility, Jacksonville, Fla. ♦ Feb. 1: Buddy Taylor Middle School marks the opening of its Agronomy Lab with a ribbon-cutting at 4 p.m. at the school, 4500 Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast.

Canales had been judged incompetent to stand trial previously.

Re Landon’s once again up coming request for a raise. In light of the current SS issues’ impending rise in utilities, retired residents living on pensions and
SS, why add to what l believe is a reflection of “American Greed”. No raise!

He will get it. A group that has no problems throwing away hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money on a golf course and tennis center won’t have any qualms about a couple of percent raise.
Get rid of the town manager style of government and the problem will cease.
