Early voting in Flagler County is ongoing and runs through Nov. 5, with polls open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at three locations, including through the weekend: The Flagler County Supervisor of Elections office in Bunnell (in the Government Services Building), at the Flagler County Public Library on Palm Coast Parkway, and at the Palm Coast Community Center on Palm Coast Parkway, off of Clubhouse Drive. The Flagler County Canvassing Board meets at the elections supervisor’s office at the Government Services Building in Bunnell at 10 a.m. to canvass absentee, or mailed-in, ballots.

Palm Coast’s Code Enforcement Board meets at 10 a.m. at City Hall in Town Center.

Jennifer Stagg decision: Sally Sherman, the county’s deputy administrator, is expected to issue a written decision at 10 a.m. in the case of Jennifer Stagg, the Emergency Management employee facing firing over charges of absenteeism, tardiness and insubordination. Her firing, after more than six years at the division, caused an uproar in the broader community and from her previous supervisor, who organized an effort to save her job. The background here.

Mayor Jon Netts farewell: The send-off reception originally scheduled in mid-October for Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. in the Community Wing at Palm Coast City Hall. Netts, 74, has been serving in one capacity or another for 16 years in Palm Coast. The reception will be emceed by Palm Coast Fire Chief Mike Beadle, with various speakers also scheduled, among them council member Jason DeLorenzo. Details here.

The African American Entrepreneurs Club meets for a workshop open to all at 6:30 p.m. at the African American Cultural Society, 4422 North U.S. 1, Palm Coast. The speaker is Parker Van Hart, director for the MSE program at the University of Florida and founder of its Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, which is a co-sponsor of the club.

Sen. Marco Rubio, who hasn’t been to Flagler County for the duration of his senate term, is showing up at a campaign rally at Houligan’s from 4 to 5 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. 50 Plaza Drive in Palm Coast. Rubio faces Patrick Murphy in the ongoing election to the senate seat.

Stetson Guest Recital, Denise Gainey, clarinet and Yakov Kasman, piano. Yakov Kasman is a Van Cliburn silver medalist, and Denise Gainey is a Backun Artist and student of Kalman Opperman. The state university system’s Board of Governors will meet after holding a series of committee meetings. The board will consider the confirmation of Martha Saunders as the new president of the University of West Florida and Larry Robinson as the interim president of Florida A&M University. Prison guard slaying appeal: The Florida Supreme Court will hear arguments in three cases, including an appeal by Death Row inmate Enoch Hall, who was convicted in the 2008 murder of corrections officer Donna Fitzgerald at Tomoka Correctional Institution in Volusia County. (9 a.m., Florida Supreme Court, 500 South Duval St., Tallahassee.)

The Everglades Foundation will continue a 12-day bus tour to urge national and state leaders to support construction of a water-storage reservoir south of Lake Okeechobee. ♦ Nov. 4-5: The Florida Agricultural Museum will host the seventh annual Pellicer Creek Raid on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program will involve a number of living history groups from around the southeastern United States. Approximately 150 infantry, artillery, and cavalry troops will be demonstrating military life in Florida circa 1864. Parades will take place at noon and battles at 1 p.m. on both days of the event. During the rest of the program, the re-enactors’ historic camps will be open to the public. Admission is $5 per person.
