Tropical Storm Debbie, slowly churning across the Florida Peninsula since the weekend, isn’t done yet, with areas of Northern Florida expected to get 10 to 15 inches of rain, and some perhaps getting as much as 25 inches.

Thunderstorm Warning Downgraded to Severe Weather Advisory Until 5:30 PM
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northern Flagler County as well as northeastern Putnam and southeastern St. Johns counties until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

NOAA predicts a 70 percent chance of nine to 15 named storms, four to eight of them strengthening to a hurricane (with top winds of 74 mph or higher) and of those one to three will become major hurricanes. Be prepared.
Despite 4 to 7 Inches of Rain, Palm Coast And Flagler Are Still Facing Drought
An area of Bunnell saw the most rain in the last 24 hours, at just over 7 inches, parts of A1A, Palm Coast and the Mondex saw water-covered roads, but no property damage or home flooding. This rain event aside, the drought persists.

Man Drowns North of Flagler Beach, Near Condos Where Family Had Recently Moved In
James Palmer, 55, who was staying at the Oceanside condominiums in Beverly Beach with his family, drowned just before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. A 55-year-old surfer also died in New Smyrna Beach three hours earlier.
