I have taught for 23 years in Florida, 13 of those years in Flagler County. I have served as a teacher at FPC, and at the Legacy Program with Frances Royals, a dear friend from whom I learned a tremendous amount. I currently teach science at Pathways Academy. I am originally from Kentucky, and have two children, Savannah and Logan. I have two brothers. Doug owns his own computer programming business in South Florida, and Mike is a doctor who works at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York. My parents, Bob and Bonnie, are both retired educators. In fact, my father served also as my principal and my mother as a teacher during my elementary years. Each evening over the family dinner, they would recount the funny things that students often said and things they did. It was no doubt their joy of teaching that encouraged me to pursue the same career path.
