The area of Woodhollow Lane in Palm Coast where the stabbing took place this evening.

Michele Shimmel was stabbed and killed at 47 Woodhollow Lane in Palm Coast this evening, sometime between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. Her 22-year-old son, Nathanial Shimmel, is in custody.

Two men, 19 and 18, were involved in an argument and had been drinking at 17 Felshire Lane when one of them stabbed the other in the back then stabbed himself in the neck. Both were hospitalized.

Edward Godwin, a 68-year-old felon on probation and with a long arrest record, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after allegedly stabbing a woman who interceded between Godwin and his wife as the couple were arguing in front of her house, and Godwin’s wife was calling out for help.

Todd Lee Richmond of Orlando was on Mud Muckers’ trails early Sunday morning with a group of people when he allegedly argued then stabbed Brad Taylor, who was airlifted to Halifax hospital. Richmond posted $100,000 bond and was released.
