After 36 hours of calm, the National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory, in effect until 1:30 p.m., and a flood watch through this evening for Palm Coast, Bunnell, Flagler Beach and the rest of Flagler County, with rain aggravating flood-prone conditions from the weekend.

More than half Palm Coast residents warned of December’s tornado took no safety precautions afterward, a new study finds, alarming officials about an apathy they say must be countered, though Palm Coast’s response to the study has been more muted than another city’s where tornado awareness is far more heightened.

A hard-freeze warning is in effect for Palm Coast and Flagler County overnight Monday to Tuesday, with temperatures falling to the mid-20s in Palm Coast and the teens inland. Wind chill will make temperatures feel much lower. Residents must take precautions to protect themselves, their animals and affected vegetation. A local homeless shelter will be open all night.

Despite 4 to 7 Inches of Rain, Palm Coast And Flagler Are Still Facing Drought

An area of Bunnell saw the most rain in the last 24 hours, at just over 7 inches, parts of A1A, Palm Coast and the Mondex saw water-covered roads, but no property damage or home flooding. This rain event aside, the drought persists.
