Since its founding by Bob Scheibel in 1979, the Flagler County Art League has provided a forum for Flagler-Palm Coast artists to showcase their work and engage the community.
As part of the Bunnell Centennial celebration, the city turned over some 35 fire hydrants to be turned into art works by organizations and individuals, leading up to Saturday’s city clean-up and judging of the hydrants. The result is a treat to the eyes.
The Bethune-Cookman University Visual Arts Gallery is featuring the works of Weldon Ryan in a exhibits that opens Friday, June 29, with a free reception. Ryan is Bethune-Cookman’s new artist-in-residence and the current Flagler County Artist of the Year.
