In Court: Circuit Judge Terence Perkins sentences Dante Mobley, a sex offender found guilty of statutory rape and sentenced in 2014 to five years in prison followed by 10 years’ sex-offender probation. He served his sentence, with credit for time served and 15 percent early release for good behavior, but was re-arrested on April 12 on a probation violation. Mobley, 35, a resident of 611 South Bacher Street in Bunnell, generated a series of violations, including losing his $900 court-issued tracking bracelet, a failure to report, and living within 1,000 feet of a place where children gather. Mobley has been at the county jail since his re-arrest. The sentencing is at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 401.

Party registration deadline: Today at 4:30 p.m. is the deadline if you intend to register to vote or to change party affiliation ahead of the primary election on Aug. 28. Locally, the election includes non-partisan races for school board and Palm Coast Council, and partisan races for the County Commission. The election also includes high-profile races for governor, Cabinet seats and congressional and legislative seats. As of Friday, Flagler County had 81,491 registered voters, with 33,259 Republicans, 25,249 Democrats and 22,507 independents, plus 476 people registered under minor parties. As of June 30, Florida had more than 12.9 million registered voters, with registered Democrats slightly outnumbering registered Republicans, according to the state Division of Elections website. Miami-Dade County had the largest number of registered voters at 1.39 million, while Broward County was next at more than 1.14 million. Lafayette County had the fewest registered voters at 4,297, while Liberty County had 4,341.

The Bunnell City Commission meets in workshop at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 201 West Moody Boulevard, to discuss its enterprise funds such as solid waste, water and sewer.

Through Aug. 17: Florida Department of Health in Flagler is offering free back-to-school immunizations July 30 through August 17. Parents and guardians are asked to bring their child’s immunization record, insurance card, and a photo ID. The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. No appointment is necessary. The DOH-Flagler is located at 301 Dr, Carter Blvd. in Bunnell. Announcements:

Senior energy program money available for air conditioning: Flagler County has a program available for qualified residents who need help with household air conditioning. “The Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program is designed to help low income households who have at least one member over the age of 60, and who is experiencing a cooling emergency,” said Joe Mayer, director of Community Services. Eligible households may receive one benefit for up to $600 for the cooling season. The money is to make payments to utility companies, to make repairs to equipment like air conditioners, or to otherwise resolve a home cooling crisis. A home cooling crisis exists when one or more of the following conditions apply: the household’s home cooling energy source has been cut off; a household has been notified that its energy source will be cut off; a household has been given notice that their energy bills are past due; or, a household has other problems with a lack of cooling in the home. To receive the assistance, proper documentation including gross income, family size and other factors determine program eligibility. The Flagler County Horseshoe Pitching Club sent six members to the World Champion Horseshoe Tournament held in Florence S.C. from 9-12 July. The FCHPC members participating were; Sandra Egan finishing 8th in women’s class I, Elaine Studnicki finishing 7th in women’s class F, Randy Weaver finising 9th in men’s class F2 Bob Flanagan finishing 10 th in mens class J2, Ron Ceryak finishing 2nd in elders class G1, and Steve Hoffman finishing 3rd in elders class G2. The Flagler County Horseshoe Pitching Club invies everyone to come join us on Tues and Thurs morning ( and Tues evenings till Labor day) and have fun pitching horseshoes. LEVINE HELPS UNVEIL MURAL: Democratic gubernatorial candidate Philip Levine will help unveil a mural featuring Joaquin Oliver, a victim of the Feb. 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
