The Palm Coast Code Enforcement Board meets at 10 a.m. at City Hall in Town Center.
The Flagler Youth Orchestra‘s five ensembles are all in concert at the Flagler Auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for those 18 and older. Younger people pay $3. $1 of each adult ticket goes toward the auditorium’s Arts in Education fund. Keep in mind, the Youth Orchestra has not increased the ticket prices. Rather, the Auditorium now charges a steep “ticketing fee” that has resulted in the higher prices. That fee does not benefit the orchestra. Buy tickets online easily here.
Flagler Republicans host a Meet the Candidates Forum (Republican candidates only) for Florida Attorney General, with Rep. Jay Fant, Judge Ashley Moody, and Rep. Frank White at the Palm Coast Community Center, at 6 pm.
A grand opening and open house is scheduled at Badcock Home Furniture in what used to be the Food Lion shopping center in Flagler Beach, and that will now be known as the Badcock shopping center, at 10 a.m. at 2501-A West Moody Boulevard (State Road 100). The store’s phone number is (386) 693-4666.
Blood Donations: The Big Red Bus will be at the following locations this week:

The Online auction to benefit the G.W. Carver Center in Bunnell is now open. Art Work, Local Experiences, Restaurant Gift Cards, Baskets, FCYC Summer Camp Registration & Trip Specials, Window Cleaning, Kayaking Tour, Furniture, World Wide Time Share, Camping Rentals, and the list goes on and on. The purpose of the auction is to raise money to go back into the development of the Carver Center. The Flagler County School Board and Flagler County Government have both owned and managed the facility over the years. Due to budgetary constraints it appeared it would be necessary to close the facility in 2010. A coalition was born to save the Gym and restore it as a community center. Our foundation was created to serve this facility with grant funding and equipment/supply needs. In order to participate in this auction you must register for a bidder account here. On the last day of the auction if a bidder submits a bid in the last 3 minutes before auction closes that item will extend for another 3 minutes and that process will repeat for up to a half hour the official close. UTILITY HURRICANE PLANS ON TABLE: The Florida Public Service Commission will hold a workshop to review hurricane preparation and response plans for electric utilities. The issue has drawn widespread attention since Hurricane Irma hammered the state in September, leaving millions of people temporarily without electricity. White wants to ban public campaign financing in Florida, which is intended to boost candidates who aren’t wealthy enough to have, for instance, wives who can loan them $1.5 million to run for office.

Another GOP candidate for Florida Attorney General. Another mysterious windfall in campaign cash.
The $750,000 loan amounts to about three quarters of the $1,014,875 Fant’s campaign had raised as of the end of February, according to state campaign finance records. Fant’s financial disclosures don’t show many large, liquid assets other than an IRA, where that money could have come from. Fant’s campaign won’t say.
