“Every one who seeks instruction on this point can look at Venice, Madrid, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Rome; all places which were formerly resplendent with mighty powers and are now destroyed by the infiltrating littleness which gradually attained the highest eminence. When the day of struggle came, all was found rotten, the State succumbed to a weak attack. To worship the fool who succeeds, and not to grieve over the fall of an able man is the result of our melancholy education, of our manners and customs which drive men of intellect into disgust, and genius to despair.”
–From Balzac’s “Bureaucracy” (1843).

Lets be wary of a canvassing board were the county manager manages the strings in favor of the county’s current top VIP favorites. Lets be wary of a canvassing board were the county attorney may serve on it again covering up the duly FBOCC chair canvassing ballots and going out to make phone calls. Lets be wary because in this county when candidates win they do it never by a landslide except when former SOE Kimberle Weeks was re-elected to just then be witch hunted for being honest and blow the whistle. Shamefully our taxes are still wasted to prosecute her in court.
I am asking myself if our ballots will really count now.
As per Florida Statute 102.141 Manual.:
2018 Composition of the County Canvassing Board – Section 102.141, FS.
A. Membership of the board is made up of:
1. County Court Judge, who shall act as chair
2. Supervisor of Elections
3. Chair of the Board of County Commissioners
4. Alternate County Court Judge (or qualified elector) s. 102.141(1)(e.)1., FS.
5. Alternate County Commissioner (or qualified elector) s. 102.141(1)(e)2., FS.
https://www.myfloridaelections.com/portals/fsase/Documents/Conference%20Presentations/2018/2018%20Canv%20Board%20Manual%20FINAL.pdf
Then what is our county attorney doing in our canvassing boards meetigs in the past if not still now? And why was the county manager secretary doing taking minutes of the canvassing board meetings other than documented by the SOE as is her duty?
