Note: all government meetings noticed below are free and open to the public unless otherwise indicated. Many can be heard or seen live through each agency’s website.

Voter registration deadline extended to Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.: Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Kaiti Lenhart has extended the Supervisor of Elections’ office hours by an hour each day, with the office opening at 8 a.m. and closing at 5 p.m. (instead of 8:30 to 4:30). She said that will continue through next Tuesday’s extension. Get your voter registration application here.

The Palm Coast City Council meets at 9 a.m. at City Hall in Town Center. Council members are expected to consider an ordinance amending the land development code regarding tree protection, landscaping, buffers and irrigation. They’re also expected to approve nine cultural arts grants.

The Flagler County School Board meets at 5 p.m. in a workshop and at 6 p.m. in a regular meeting, at the Government Services Building’s board chambers. The workshop agenda includes a discussion on school safety. Superintendent Jacob Oliva will update the board at 6 p.m. on Hurricane Matthew’s effects on the district.

Food Truck Tuesday in Palm Coast’s Central Park: This month’s proceeds will benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which provides free books each month to preschoolers in Flagler County. The food trucks signed up for October include: Café Rouge, Ritter’s Frozen Custard, My Cousin Vinny, The Garbage Can, Caketeer, Personal Chef, Woodson’s Wrap Shack, Arrested Appetite, Big Kahuna Kettle Corn, Kona Ice of Flagler County, The Good Food Truck, Bruster’s/Nathan’s, Magic4urPlate, Monsta Lobsta, London Fish & Chippy, It’s All Greek to Me, El Cubanito Subs, Flaming Pizza, El Cubanito Subs, Snowie Bus, and Barnwood Bar-B-Que. University projects: The Facilities Committee of the state university system’s Board of Governors will hear presentations about “high priority” building projects at universities. (8:30 a.m., University of South Florida, Marshall Student Union, 4103 USF Cedar Circle, Tampa.)

Pollution notices: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection will continue a series of meetings on a proposal that would create new requirements for notifying the public when pollution occurs.
