Grace Community Food Pantry, 245 Education Way, Bunnell, drive-thru open today from noon to 3 p.m. The food pantry is organized by Pastor Charles Silano and Grace Community Food Pantry, a Disaster Relief Agency in Flagler County. Feeding Northeast Florida helps local children and families, seniors and active and retired military members who struggle to put food on the table. Working with local grocery stores, manufacturers, and farms we rescue high-quality food that would normally be wasted and transform it into meals for those in need. The Flagler County School District provides space for much of the food pantry storage and operations. Call 386-586-2653 to help, volunteer or donate.

Notably: From Statista: Long before the emergence of ChatGPT and other AI tools threatening to take over our jobs, technological advancements have altered the way people work, making some occupations disappear, while others emerged. Did you know, for example, that people used to work as living alarm clocks before actual alarm clocks became a thing? “Knocker Telephone Poles and uppers”, as they were called, would walk around in industrial England, wielding a long stick with which they’d tap on workers’ doors to wake them in time for their shifts. There also used to be “computers” long before the arrival of personal computers. They were persons performing mathematical calculations, a service that is no longer required today. So which jobs might be next? Each year, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes its Occupational Employment Projections – a report that’s looking at the U.S. labor market as a whole for the next 10 years.” It’s a grim era for cashiers, secretaries, and as anyone who’s ever called any cable, satellite, internet or phone company, any airline, any city, any anything these days, it’s as grim an era for customer service representatives as it is for those trying to reach them. It’s mourning again in America.
