Today through Sept. 30, traffic-ticket and other court collection-fee amnesty: Residents can pay their court debts with a 40 percent discount on what fees they may owe to collection agencies. Click on the link for details.

In Court: The non-jury trial of John J. Schenone, 21, of Palm Coast, begins at 9 a.m. in Courtroom 401 before Circuit Judge Matthew Foxman. Schenone is accused of molesting the 11-year-old daughter of his then-girlfriend, and faces a capital felony charge as well as two first degree felony charges.

The Flagler County Commission meets at 5 p.m. in board chambers at the Government Services Building. The agenda includes commissioners’ expected approval of two grants totaling just over $10 million for the construction of a runway extension at the Flagler County Airport, and a $12 million bid award to Halifax Paving to actually build the extension. The commission is also expected to approve a ranking of lands that could be added to the county’s inventory of environmentally sensitive lands. The commission will also approve the 2017 special taxing rates for several districts, including Daytona North, the Malacompra and Marineland drainage basins, and Espanola.

Approximately 150 infantry, artillery, and cavalry troops will be demonstrating military life in Florida circa 1864. Parades will take place at noon and battles at 1 p.m. on both days of the event.
