The Rotary Club of Flagler County will host two fundraising events to celebrate 30 years of serving the community.
The Flagler County Rotary Club will host their Wine Tasting & Silver Jewelry Show on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 55 Town Center Blvd. Charter members and past presidents will be honored. The event is a major fundraiser for the club, with a live auction and  silent auction of donated wines, wine baskets, custom silver jewelry, gifts and collectables. There are also numerous door prizes.
The auction will feature rare and collector wines, including 2003 Chateau Leoville Barton (Bordeaux, St. Julien), 1995 Chateau Lynch-Bages (Bordeaux) in a mahogany display case, and many others. Jewelry items include a sterling silver bracelet with uncut amethyst, and a wide variety of rings and accent pieces.
Proceeds from this event will be used to fund the club’s local service projects, including scholarships, student mentoring, distribution of dictionaries to local third grade students, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Feed Flagler and other worthy causes. Tickets are $45. For ticket information contact a Rotary member or email: [email protected]
The second event is free and open to the public on Saturday, November 5 from 10 am – 3 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn for the Silver Jewelry Show.
Carol Sharp, Rotary Club of Flagler Rotarian of Year, is the chairperson and organizer of the event. She expects this event to be “a huge success and one that, in time, will become the club’s best annual event, in the terms of fun and fundraiser.”
