The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who used a stolen credit card at a local tire store.

Detectives said the man went to the tire store on several occasions between November 2012 and January 2013 and made thousands of dollars in purchases. The man has what appears to be a tattoo on his left forearm and was a passenger in a Silver single cab Dodge pick-up truck.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Mark Linde at 386-586-4875 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477). You may remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.

I will never understand why business owners don’t ask for ID when taking a credit card. I realize that a fake ID could have also been made, but in more times than not these credit cards are stolen and used immediately without anything else. Anyone who has had their card stolen knows that in most cases they are used at gas stations or to buy gift cards, which makes it harder to track.

In the end, the business owner is the one who pays as they just lost out on that merchandise and got nothing for it.

He`s prolly from out of state , or at least a few counties away , would have to be a real idiot to do it in the town he lives in

Check with South Carolina authorities. We have these gypsies that invade our State every now and then ripping off unsuspecting homeowners with shoddy repairs and other illegal activities. Dateline did a story on them years ago and they all live in well to do community in South Carolina. A couple of times a year they infiltrate Florida and do their organized schemes and haul ass back to SC. Those tires are sold for a fraction of what they were sold for. About that time one came to my door requesting a fast $1,000 to install lightening rods on my roof. He became suspicious of me and not the other way around and hauled ass with his truck. No charge for the information FCSD.
