JJ Graham’s Salvo Art Project, the vibrant gallery and artist colony, had a 10-year lease with Nature Scapes, but a long dispute with the nursery’s owners culminated in an eviction and mediated settlement today that closes Salvo’s doors on Jan. 7.

Salvo Art gallery and Nature Scapes will be host to a day-and-evening-long celebration of art, music and trees all of Saturday, with performances by the Flagler Youth Orchestra to go along with an art opening of small works at the gallery.

Nature Scapes Is Now Home to a Bird Sanctuary in the Late Marylou Baiata’s Memory

Local bird expert Trudy Tappan helped started the Baiata Bird Sanctuary after the death of long-time owner Marylou Baiata in July. Her son has since taken over Nature Scapes, which now also includes on its grounds the new Hollingsworth Gallery and other features.
