Sean Patrick McNamara has a long and violent history. He has spent almost 27 of his 53 years in state prison, over seven separate incarcerations. He’s been convicted of armed burglary, burglary numerous times, illegally possessing weapons, grand theft, theft of firearms, fraud and escape. He’s been sentenced to prison from crimes in Alachua, Bradford, Clay, Broward and Gilchrist counties. He was last in prison in March 2019, when he first moved to Gainesville–then Palm Coast.
He was barely in town when he was arrested in July 2020. He’d punched or pummeled his wife of five months violently enough that his fist was lacerated, though he blamed it on landscaping.
His wife told a deputy he’d punched her several times with a closed fist. He served no jail time. The charge was reduced to disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, he was found guilty on that, and he got some probation. Last July he was again in a violent altercation with his wife, who this time stacked his belongings in his truck and drove them to his sister’s. He pursued her on a motorcycle, and a third man who knew McNamara pursued in a Trans Am, so when she realized “they were driving too crazy,” she turned around and went home. That case is still in pre-trial stages.
On Friday, McNamara was charged with his first felonies in Flagler County, this time involving a minor teen.
McNamara, 53, a resident of 23 Senseney Path in Palm Coast, was re-arrested on a felony child abuse charge after allegedly punching the teen-ager, and on a second-degree felony charge of making threats to shoot or fire a destructive device (the sort of charge students have been routinely arrested for this school-year after making threats against schools or fellow-students).
In a scene corroborated by Ring video footage and documented in a Flagler County Sheriff’s arrest report, the teen was in his driveway, vacuuming his car, sitting on the driver’s side of the vehicle, when McNamara “aggressively” drove up in his Ford F-150, pulled back the vacuum cleaner that was between the two vehicles, walked out to the driver’s side of the teen’s car and began to yell at the boy, claiming he had broken into his house. The deputy reported seeing McNamara “reaching and aggressively pointing” at the boy, but was “unable to determine the exact point” when McNamara struck the boy. As McNamara walks away from the car, he yells back at the boy, “come to my house,” and here he uses a obscenity to describe the boy and says, “imma blow yo mama house up.” He gets into his truck and speeds off.
The boy told the deputy that McNamara struck him on the left side of his face, in the upper cheek area. The deputy documented some redness there. The boy told the deputy he didn’t know what McNamara was accusing him of, and that he had not been in the county the previous night. McNamara told the deputy he’d become aware of alleged social media posts by the boy that he was going to break into his house with a gun and rob him, so he went to confront the boy. McNamara and the boy’s family are not quite neighbors, but live in the same neighborhood around Sesame Boulevard. They are almost a mile away from each other, separated by several streets.
McNamara posted $5,000 bail and bonded out less than 24 hours after his booking at the Flagler County jail. He is to have no contact with his victim. Other than that, his pre-trial release order contains no other conditions.

This guy sounds like a real winner. People, this individual is the most accurate definition of human waste.

He is actually a very nice guy when he is clean and sober. The drugs and alcohol mess with him and its very hard for him to find a job and make it. He has been trying really really hard but when he gets discouraged and gives up he gets back into trouble. I know him personally and I can say that he has been a real blessing to alot of people. I feel very bad that he is in trouble again. He was really trying hard to live for God. But when people get their first felony conviction its very hard to recover from it. Its very hard to rebuild and the system and the prejudice doesn’t help. The justice system isn’t supposed to work. Its meant for people to end up just like this because nobody cares enough to help people getting out. They need love and support not just blasted.

This is a very bad guy in need of a prison cell. Sometimes, near-humans like him cannot be mixed in with normal people. You know… the non-sociopaths. Unfortunately, he needs incarceration before he kills someone.

Should’ve captured & reported the social media evidence if it exists instead of taking care of it like that ? What happens in anyone
s home with a warning of a threat with intent such as this home invasion falls under a castle doctrine. If true, the teen should get a restraining order as well, perhaps face his own charge(s). I’m sure they’ll get this figured out some how ? Too often, there are kids in this county that aren’t the innocent angels they claim to be. Another possibility, was the teen’s account hacked and another posted to it ? Just the era we now live in ?

He is white, in prison that many times. Out again and causing problems. A person of color doing all that craziness would be dead or in prison for life. Even if he kill, and he probably will he might get away with it. Being white all he has to say is I feared for my life or they fit the description. Those two phases work very well for white people. Look at what just happen in Wisconsin. Tha same thing might happen in Brunswick GA. Yhe common denominator is the perpetrators are white men the jurors are mostly white. The outcome is usually in favor of the white men.

What are you talking about ? Do you like starting racial tension ? Are you trying to cause the next Civil War ?
Keep yapping that crap and you may just get what you wish for.
C’mon man says
@AJ. Here we go bringing race into it again. Don’t forget a few months ago a black man right here in Flagler Country was found not guilty of murder by an all white jury. Your claims and accusations are unfounded
A.j says
It is time people of color get some justice, white men get ot all the time.

To some extent, I tend to agree that there are cases that support your assertions, but since one of the alleged facts are that a teen posted they were going to break in with a firearm and rob at gun point at his address. I think even a felon would be in fear of their life ? Is there really anyone on the planet that doesn’t fear another with a firearm. They’d have to be brain dead not to ? If Kyle Rittenhouse had an AR rifle and was capable of even self defense killing(s), how old anyone is making threats or with the gun is really irrelevant. Anyone should heed that level of an announcement at face value for the warning. Perhaps the post was archived by the social media ? Corrective action is a 2 way street on this. We don’t know how these people know each other or even their interactions for this escalation. Cause & effect for what was said usually builds over repeated interactions ? I can’t imagine someone living several streets over driving over to another’s address. I have neighbor’s around the corner & I don’t know them (even their names), but having seen FCSO at their homes, I don’t care to ever meet or know them. I’ve got one that’s almost across the street like that, their kids aren’t much better with their role model parents or step parents, from whatever that situation really is, So we’ll see what evidences can be recovered, whether Twitter or Facebook, Tik-Tok or what ever other social media has that evidence. If it ever even existed ? FCSO has to sift thru the lies to get to the truth as usual.

Our country is broken in so many ways. The judicial system certainly needs a complete re-write. This man should not be out in society.

I totally agree with resident. Yes all these undesirables coming to Flagler County and we can see them just in the way the drive like maniacs around us breaking all traffic laws un totally unmonitored or fined by our
invisible law enforcement. I see the noisy speeders in Palm Coast Parkway and adjacent roads totally green flagged risking law abiding residents lives 24-7.
