Gabriel Pardo, a 36-year-old resident of Palm Coast’s F Section and Elizabeth, New Jersey, was arrested in New Jersey over the weekend and extradited to Flagler on child rape and other charges.
Padro is accused of raping his own step-daughters over several years and molesting one of their friends during a sleep-over.
The alleged rapes involving one of the stepdaughters started when the victim was 9 and took place in various ways until the victim was 15, according to Pardo’s arrest report. He would enter her bedroom at night. The victim “would wake up when [Pardo] began to touch her,” after removing her clothing, the report states. He allegedly began to attack the second girl when she was 8, continuing the alleged attacks until she was 14.
The incident involving the step-daughter’s friend is alleged to have occurred in mid-February when the victim was spending the night at the step-daughters’ house. The children had gone to sleep. According to Pardo’s arrest report, Pardo pulled the victim’s sweatpants off and proceeded to molest her for about 10 minutes. The alleged victim told the Child Protection Team she was awake and aware but froze, not knowing what to do.
“After completing the unlawful act,” the arrest report states, Pardo “then woke up his oldest stepdaughter to assist with putting the victim’s pants back on, telling the stepdaughter that he needed a ‘witness so that he was not accused of being a pervert.’ After the victim’s pants were back on, the victim jumped up out of bed and ran into the bathroom, locking the door.” Pardo unlocked the door from outside, according to the report, entered the bathroom with his stepdaughter, sat next to the alleged victim “and began to rub her back in an attempt to console her. The victim then asked to go to bed and when she was in the bedroom with her two friends, told them what [Pardo] did to her.”
The victim related the alleged incident in an interview with the Child Protection Team.
Pardo’s jail and court records differ. His record at the Flagler County jail lists three charges of raping a child older than 12 but younger than 18. He’s being held on $225,000 bond. The court docket lists three separate cases, reflecting the three separate warrants on which he was arrested. Two cases each list the same three charges: sexual battery (or rape), sex assault by a custodian, involving a victim younger than 18, both first-degree felony charges, and a charge of lewd and lascivious conduct, a second degree felony. The third case is one count of lewd and lascivious conduct.
He was arrested in Essex, New Jersey, by sheriff’s deputies there. He was booked at the Flagler jail the evening of Aug. 11.
Most cases of child sexual abuse involve a person familiar or familial to the victim.
Less than two years ago Pardo had been arrested at his F-Section house on a domestic violence charge. His wife was the alleged victim. She told sheriff’s deputies that she and Pardo had been arguing over marital issues. He’d told her to pack her bags and leave. The confrontation ebbed and restarted several times until it became violent, leading her to call police. Pardo drove away. Deputies found him in his car on Old Kings Road. He initially refused to get out of the car, then resisted getting handcuffed, resulting in an additional charge of resisting arrest. His gun–the arrest report noted that he’s “known” to carry a firearm on him at all times–was seized. In a plea agreement he pleaded no contest to the resisting arrest charge, the battery charge was dropped, he paid a few fines, and adjudication was withheld.
Pardo’s latest arrest reports list his occupation as “Military Retired.”

Lock him up for good and throw the key away. Where was the mother during these incidents?
John Brady says
During my career at Northampton County Children and Youth (PA), I investigated a situation of sexual abuse. Orlando Roman sexually abused two female cousins and their brother. Mr. Roman received 25 years for each child to be served consecutively with no parole. Mr.Roman will be locked up for 75 years.
I am just offering this as a sentence guide should this man is convicted

Only wish is that the victims can overcome . As for the Alleged he should rot somewhere…..

Is there not a mother around? Grandparents? How does this go on for so many years.
Born and Raised Here says
I would seek the Death Penalty, since it’s a capital crime for molesting and raping a minor.

Yet another of Jerseys Finest finding their way to Palm Coast. I wonder how much crime we would have had ITT/ICDC not advertise so heavily in the metro NY/NJ area. I’m sure we would be much smaller but so not see that has really a bad thing. Crime has skyrocketed in the Kissimmee area from PR/Hurricane Maria for which I’m sure some will end up here. And why in hell did they drop the domestic violence over resisting? The victim probably asked for it to be dropped, well this is where it gets them. For as many years this piece of trash has been doing this he should have been held on NO BOND, WE ARE DEALING WITH CHILDREN! What’s wrong with this system here? I don’t get it.

Sickening, absolutely pathetic excuse for a human, let alone being a father. My heart hurts for the young ladies/girls involved.

Unfortunately in many situations where incest occurs between the father or male guardian and minor females, the mother figure becomes an enabler. Typically, she is afraid to speak out for fear of destroying her family. If this guy is guilty and incarcerated, I hope Bubba has a bunk open for him.
IB Erudite says
@Born and Raised, although I agree with you the death penalty should be allowed, the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional for rapists and even child rapists to receive the death penalty for that particular crime. So it’s just wishful thinking.

Too many cases of desperate women for a relation that land with the wrong man a pervert, that abuses or kills her children or her pets too! Not reason for these rapes to be “unnoticed” for so many years! Mother should be charged as well.

Why on earth does the court continue to reduce sentencing for these scumbags?

Do the terms “Eunuch” or “Emasculation” mean anything to you? If you don’t have it, you can’t abuse somebody with it. Sorry but it is true!

Wow! Really sickening and sad for the girls. I went to middle school in NYC with both Gabriel and his wife. We were all happy for them when the united in marriage as adults, she already had 3 kids from a previous marriage. I myself used to sleep over her house when teens. Crazy world out there. Hope he gets what he deserves and more!
