If you’d like to hear the sounds of local musicians all afternoon, eat all sorts of festive foods, pet a few or many musical instruments and engage in arts-and-crafty activities of your own, head out to Palm Coast’s Central Park at Town Center for the Palm Coast Arts Foundation’s three-day, “Music in the Air” festival.
Local musicians, singers, children and adults, are performing under the big tent from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. That’s free.
They’ll be followed at 4 p.m. by Heartbeat Boys and their more Floridian opening act, Los Megaboyz. The first is the teen-bopping quintet of 11-year old Erik Feliciano, 13-year-old David Crider, 15-year-olds Noel Navarro and Brandon Feliciano, and 16-year-old Anthony Sacco, who together form Maurice Starr’s latest discovery (Starr discovered and managed “New Kids On The Block”).

Preferred seating for the Heartbeat Boys is $20, and general seating is $10.
Saturday night it’s blues and jazz time with Longineu Parsons and Ted Shumate‘s “Blues for the 21st Century” and the Doug Carn Jazz Group.

Sunday evening, the “Music in the Air” festival caps it all with its Picnic & Pops–a performance by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Morihiko Nakahara.
The open-air concert, dubbed “A Lot of Night Music” (a take-off on the Mozart’s serenade popularly known as “A Little Night Music”) will open with the Star Spangled Banner and feature Leonard Bernstein’s overture to “West Side Story,” movements from Mozart’s little night music, the theme from “Scent of a Woman”, selections from Bizet’s “Carmen,” Mancini’s “Moon River,” and plenty more.
It’s not just music: the event includes a full buffet (although that’ll cost you extra), table and lawn seating.
Table seating is $30 per person. Advanced lawn seating is $28 per person, or $30 at the gate. Gates open at 6 p.m.
