Obama, Biden, Kagan: Where Their Pocket Money Comes From

May 18, 2010 | FlaglerLive | 1 Comment

Obama and Michelle
That's it? (White House photo)

A few tidbits from President Barack Obama’s financial disclosure form: royalties from his book, Dreams of My Father, are bringing in more than $1 million (but less than $5 million). He has investments in Treasury bonds, retirement and college savings accounts worth between $2.2 million and $7.5 million. And he got that $1.4 million for winning the Nobel peace prize, but that went to charity.

Obama’s current salary: a whopping $400,000. (Average pay and benefits for CEOs in the country’s top 500 companies: $9.25 million.) Annual pay and benefits for Tony Hayward, BP’s top executive: $3.14 million.

Look for yourself: here are the full financial disclosure forms for the president, the vice president and, bonus, the president’s Supreme Court nominee.

Here’s the caption for that photo
Obama–“See Honey, I told you learning how to talk shit would pay off”
Michelle–” I can’t believe the dummies fall for that bull you come up with”
