Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the stabbing of a man on 14 Zenoble Place in Palm Coast Wednesday afternoon or evening.
The man was stabbed in the neck, a sheriff’s spokesman said, but little else is known about the circumstances that led to the incident. “He wasn’t saying who stabbed him, not giving information,” the spokesman said. The identity of the man has not yet been released.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to Halifax hospital in Daytona Beach: any penetrating wound to the head, neck or torso is automatically a trauma case. Florida Hospital Flagler does not have a trauma unit.
Authorities arrived on a messy, bloody scene at Zenoble Place once the call to 911 was placed. Blood had splattered in numerous places, brass knuckles were found at the entrance, holes had been punched in the doors, broken glass littered the floor, all evidence of a violent fight. There were numerous people in the house, with about a dozen people present when authorities were there, though not all were necessarily residents of the house.
It’s not clear when the stabbing occurred, as some told authorities that it had occurred in late afternoon, others that it occurred around 10 p.m. But those involved would not say anything revealing to police.
The address is familiar to the sheriff’s office: it has responded there numerous times over the years, and made five arrests there in the past two years alone. Four of those arrests were of Jessica Holliday, 28, for criminal mischief, probation violation, fleeing and eluding police, violating a pre-trial release agreement, and domestic battery by strangulation. The latter charge, a felony, was dropped last year. She was also charged with tampering with evidence, a third degree felony. Adjudication was withheld on that charge in 2013.
Also arrested at that address was Michael Lumpkins, 36, on charges of false imprisonment and domestic violence battery on May 3, 2014. That charge, a third-degree felony, was dropped. A domestic battery charge that was part of the same arrest was also dropped even though Lumpkins unsuccessfully completed a deferred prosecution agreement. In 2013, he was arrested on a third-degree felony charge of illegal possession of prescription pills. The charge was dropped. A similar charge was dropped in 2011, and in 2010.

What is going on here
Coyote says
I’m not so much curious about “what is going on here”, although I would like to know, as I am about the several previous arrests listed all being dropped.

Just another day of crime in sleepy Palm Coast Fl.

Coyote,
yeah, really, how lucky can he be? I guess he must know someone in the system cause if it were me, I’d still be locked up for less. Not to mention that he unsuccessfully completed a deferred prosecution agreement. That should be an open warrant and drag his behind to the jail to face the judge. What’s up with that??? Anyone knows???Coyote,

Anyone else remember Palm Coast thirty years ago, before the ghettoization began? Actually, look at any city in the country – it’s the same thing.

Is this a rental property?
Coyote says
@ A.S.F. Apparently, yes it is a rental property. According to the county property appraiser website, it is owned by a gentleman who resides in New York.

I beg to differ!!
Tomo says
Didn’t we see these names getting arrested last month? Maybe all the crime in PC is at that house?
A.S.F. says
The owner should be made aware of what is going on in his property. And he should be made somehow accountable for who he rents out to, if this is a pattern of behavior that persists, despite his being informed and warned repeatedly.

What difference does it make if its a rental or not?
I thought the Sheriff said crime was down? Are we getting accurate information from the Sheriff or is he telling us what we want to hear hoping to get re-elected?
Jim Bob says
Are New Yorkers the root of our crime problems? Good Lord! What if we elect one President?
Born and Raised Here says
Another rental property. How do these people be allowed to live here ? Aren’t background checks being done on the Leasee.
Jake says
There are plenty of rental properties that have good people living in them. You can’t group them all together just because they rent.

Once again we have the dirt bags with numerous previous arrests and the charges being dropped. Something needs to be done about this. How about the Sheriffs office stepping up and putting some pressure on the prosecutors office and the judges to make these creeps do some jail time. After all, we do have a nice new jail for them to reside in.

The landlord owner in NY has to be notified of these crimes and the damages to his house in order for him maybe to consider evicting his current tenants unless we have another NY slumlord here.
palmcoaster says
Do our law enforcement contact a landlord as responsible of crimes committed in his property that endanger our whole community? If we do not have a city or county ordinance to that regard why don’t we ask for one? In Volusia County if a property calls law enforcement too often for crimes committed in the same location gives them the right to additional bill the owner.

Why are these serious chargers always dropped on these Criminals,Doesnt make one feel safe in Palm Coast anymore.Remember the Days before we became a City.I think we need a new Sheriff along with a new Judge.
A.S.F. says
If the landlord is knowingly supporting a criminal enterprise. that is a crime. If the landlord is trusting a rental management company to oversee what kind of individual(s) may be renting out his/her property, and is unaware that his/her property and reputation may be at risk for the poor job they are doing, the owner should be informed of what is going on. If I were an absentee owner, and that were the case, I would want to know what the heck was going on. Who cares about the political statements of sheriffs and politicians in this town? There are innocent people who are being put at risk by criminal activity in their vicinity. I hope to heaven that there are no children residing in that house! If there are. social services should br brought in, along with the police, to fully assess the situation.
Rick says
There is an huge difference between renters and owners. Open your eyes and take a good look at the care and condition of a homeowners residence and compare it to a rented house. Yes, there are some good renters out there but the horrid ones outnumber the good ones. Just like everything else, the good suffer because of the actions of the degenerates. We all end up paying just like all the government funding to the fraudsters who milk the system while selling drugs and living large. Just saying.
