The Flagler Beach City Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Beach City Hall.

Some Flagler County commissioners may be attending the Florida Association of Counties Advanced County Commissioner Education Program at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center in Gainesville.

The Matanzas High School Chorus is in concert at Pirate Theatre, Matanzas High School, 6 p.m.

Think Flagler First Luncheon: Jerry Parrish Chief Economist and Director of Research for the Florida Chamber Foundation, will talk about Flagler County’s anticipated population growth and the important role local businesses will play in creating jobs to keep pace with this expansion at the Hilton Garden Inn, Palm Coast, 11:45 a.m.

Flagler Home and condo sales in September: The Flagler County Association of Realtors reports 201 sales of homes closing in September, the lowest level since February, when 166 sales closed, and one sale better than in September 2014. Almost half the sales were for cash. The median sale price was $185,000, a considerable improvement over the same period last year when the price was $145,500. The average sale price, which is not as accurate an indication of trends, was $219,494, also improved over last year. There were 1,022 active listings on the market, representing a supply of 4.8 months, down from six months a year ago. In condos, 46 sales closed, compared to 26 last year, 28 of them in cash, at a median price of $151,500, a big improvement over last year’s $108,000. Condos were on the market for an average of 63 days. There are 309 active listings, with an 8.7 months’ supply. See the full report for homes here. See the condo sales report here.

Spartan Race Returns, but Not to Princess Place: The extreme-sport race, rejected after a public outcry objected to its running at Princess Place, will instead run at the privately owned Florida Cracker Ranch off of County Road 200 in southern Flagler County, the News-Journal reports. Palm Coast’s Years in Sinai End as It Moves Into Long-Sought City Hall in Town Center: Come Friday afternoon employees will shut down at the 20,000 square feet City Marketplace offices, the cramped quarters Palm Coast government contended with since 2008, and Monday morning at 8, without skipping a beat, offices will open at City Hall, which can finally be referred to with capital letters.

Voodoo Man Found Not Guilty in Machete Attack But Still Faces Murder Conspiracy Charge: Mompremier, 31, had allegedly attacked his girlfriend’s brother, Steeve Leveille, in July of 2013, leaving a gash behind Leveille’s left ear, a disabled tendon in the thumb of his left hand and a large cut between his ring and pinky finger.

Fully-Loaded Moving Truck Overturns on State Road 100 at I-95 Exit, Driver Injured: A fully-loaded truck owned by Flagler Moving and Storage overturned on State Road 100 just after 11 a.m. Oct. 21, with three men on board. The driver sustained injuries to his head, shoulder and arm as the driver’s side window shattered and the truck scraped the pavement, scraping the driver with it. But he was treated at the scene and not hospitalized.

The Senate Children, Families and Elder Affairs Committee will take up a wide-ranging bill aimed at making changes in the state’s child-welfare system. (12:30 p.m.)

Palm Coast Construction and Development Progress Reports

The following is an update of ongoing construction and development projects in Palm Coast, through Oct. 14:

Palm Coast Parkway Six-Laning is 95 percent done: Work in median continues and landscape along project continues. Traffic Signal loop installation continues.

Holland Park, 35 percent done: Dewatering of wetland area continues. 92% of roadway thru wetland has been excavated and is being backfilled. Installation of storm structures and piping continues under roadway thru former wetland. Electrical trenching and conduit installation continues.

Palm Coast City Hall at Town Center, 99 percent done: Project is substantially completed.

Old Kings Road Force Main, 40 percent done: Connections of the directional and direct bury pipe continues.

County’s I-95 Interchange Matanzas Woods Reclaim Water, 76 percent done: 16″ direct bury pipe has been staged for installation on the west side of the northwest ramp.

Palm Harbor Parkway Roadway Extension, 26 percent done: De-mucking continues thru wet areas for new roadway.

North Old Kings Road Extension to Matanzas Woods Parkway: City did not update.

Island Walk Shopping Center Phase 1, 95 percent done: Last 1500 gallon Grease Interceptor was installed. The Utility Final was completed for Publix 10-13-15.
