Longer Hours at the Indian Trails Middle School Media Center–and the Kitchen Sisters Club Kicks Off

September 7, 2010 | FlaglerLive | Leave a Comment

The Indian Trails Middle School Media Center is now open after school. The school has extended hours until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays for any student with a parent-signed pass. Passes are available on the ITMS Media Center web page (or you can click here).

ITMS is also starting a girls-only club called Kitchen Sisters. The club will meet on the second Tuesday of the month beginning September 14th, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.  The girls will set the agenda for each month’s programs. Successful, expert women from the community will be invited to join in club discussions.

The ITMS Media Center will host the authors of Middleworld, J. and P. Voelkel, on September 29th during 6th period. Students who read the book and write questions for the authors will be invited to attend in person. The whole school will be invited to turn on their TV’s and watch the authors present information about the Maya culture and their awesome book, which rumor suggests, will soon be a movie. Bring your own copy and have it autographed.
