Justin Price McElveen was traveling south in a 2005 Ford F-350 pick-up truck just before midnight on Feb. 5 on County Road 343 in Levy County when his truck failed to negotiate a curve to the left.
The truck traveled off the west shoulder, went airborne over a ditch and struck several trees before landing on its right side, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. The wreck took place 7.3 miles south of Bronson.
McElveen was pronounced dead at the scene by Levy County paramedics. Alcohol was not involved, and a seat belt was not in use, the highway patrol reports.
