Bo Sirrine, 21-Year-Old Navy Crewman, Faces Rape Charge Involving Palm Coast Girl, 13

Bo Sirrine, a 21-year-old Navy crewman in Jacksonville, got to know the 13-year-old Palm Coast girl through the website “Plenty of Fish,” a dating website, then kept communicating with her on Snapchat and Google Hangout.

Wednesday afternoon (July 17), Sirrine was booked at the Flagler County jail on three counts of lewd and lascivious battery, or statutory rape, of a girl younger than 16–each a second degree felony. He is being held on $100,000 bond.

According to Sirrine’s arrest report, he began communicating with the girl by phone as well, and on Jan. 12 was allegedly invited to her home, arriving there around midnight. The girl allegedly opened her bedroom window to let him sneak in, and after “a few hours of communication and kissing,” the report states, they had sex. The routine was repeated on Jan. 13 and 15.

The girl’s mother discovered the couple in the girl’s bedroom, with Sirrine allegedly “wearing only his boxers and attempting to hide on the floor on the opposite side of the bed.”

Through the investigation, Flagler County sheriff’s detectives got a statement from a “witness” saying she had sex with an older man named “Bo.” Detectives conducted DNA analysis through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s crime lab, finding two “donors,” meaning two DNA sources, one of them matched to Bo Sirrine’s DNA, with a one in 700 billion chance that it would be a match to a different individual. (The other “donor,” of course, would be the girl, as it was her bed.)

Originally from Washington State, Sirrine is a resident of 822-C Saratoga Avenue, #3129, in Jacksonville. According to his arrest report, he “admitted to each sexual act during an interview” with an investigator, after getting his Miranda rights.

Why a 13 year old on a adult dating app. And that guy should be a a shamed of him self. And plus why that girl got a phone at a young age. The parent should of block all dating app intil she reached high school. Shaking my head

Both are guilty of poor choices on this one.

She used Plenty Of Fish with a fake profile and lied about her age initially. So that is deception on her part. Plenty of Fish “requires it’s users to be 18 or older. She also willingly opened her window to let him in with the intent of avoiding detection by her parents. So that was decieving as well. She also appears to have willingly had sex. Now unfortunatley she is not of consent age so he will pay a large penalty for that.

On his part he used poor judgement by communicating with someone younger than him. He has not only committed civilian offenses but the Navy will go after him and rightfully so. Guys think twice. Under age is illegal and you have no busniess messing with younger women.

Everyone will scream and rant that this guy is a monster. But there were plenty of poor choices made in this decision on both sides. There should be some way to holder her liable for lying about her age online and it needs to be pursued.

Stop single siding justice when poor choices are made on both parts.

In the eyes of the court, it does not matter. It was his responsibility to make sure she was at least 18 years old… regardless of what she told him.

@ Frankie, agree. But, once he met her one look at her would tell him her age. He should have run the other way! My question is what is a 13 YO doing on a dating website? I doubt she was looking for a 13 YO boy. Sad that parents today have no idea what their children are doing.

That girl should’ve never been on that app but even if he got Catfished he should have definitely been able to tell she was only 13

Wrong is wrong. A 21 year old man having sex with a miner is wrong. Where were the adults at that time. Midnight, she let him in the house. He could have killed her and the fsmily. What was she thinking about. I am glad he did not hurt her or the family. What was he thinking about. You go to a person house that time of night. Sneaking in the house. A navy man. Your life has changed for the worst. Bad decisions equal unwanted actions. I can’t judge other people but we all need to think about your sctions.
