Indian Trail Middle School's Brayden Xox placed first in the state in discus throwing, throwing a 142.7 at the Florida Youth Running Association competition in Bradenton last weekend, and fellow-team member Travaine Whittick ran a 54.7 in the 400 meter. The students are part of a 50-student Police Athletic League (PAL) team from Indian Trails, coached by Kathleen Hoover, Derrick Griffin and Esteban Soto.
