Flagler County Emergency Management will make a presentation at the inaugural “Hurricane Preparedness Breakfast” being hosted by Flagler Volunteer Services.
The breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn.
“We will discuss how we can better prepare as a community, ways you can volunteer and you will be able to hear about preparedness from a statewide and local perspective,” said Suzy Gamblain, executive director of Flagler Volunteer Services.
In addition to the presentation made by Emergency Management, representatives from Volunteer Florida and Flagler Volunteer Services will speak. There will be a panel discussion that includes the American Red Cross, Flagler County Medical Reserve Corps, the Church of Latter Day Saints, Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) and Ham Radio.
The cost to attend is $15 and includes breakfast and a disaster preparedness supply bag. To make a reservation, call the Flagler Volunteer Services office at 386-597-2950.
