Critical Lack of Exhibit Space Hobbling Palm Coast Art Scene Even as Organizations Thrive
For the first time in 20 years, the Flagler County Artist of the Year will not have a show, for lack of space. The critical lack of exhibit space is on the radar of the Flagler County Art League, the fledgling Palm Coast Arts Foundation and the Grand Gallery at Grand Living Realty.
At the Flagler County Art League:
Diana Gilson, Artist of the Year
Abstratct-expressionist painter Diana Gilson–sailor, pianist, amateur linguist–is the Gariuolo Foundation’s 2017 Flagler CountyArtist of the Year, with an exhibit opening Saturday at the Flagler County Art League.
At Ocean Art Gallery:
Judi Wormeck, Artist of the Year
Judi Wormeck, a retired art teacher and member of the Flagler County Art League, is the Gargiulo Art Foundation’s 2016 Flagler County Artist of the Year, with her first Florida exhibit opening Friday at Ocean Art Gallery in Flagler Beach.

Jan Geyer, Artist of the Year
In Palm Coast less than three years, artist Jan Geyer has made her impact on the local arts community through her own studio at City Marketplace and her associations with Hollingsworth-Salvo Art Project and the Flagler County Art League.
