Argument Over Facebook Images Turns Violent, Landing P-Section Woman in Jail

December 31, 2014 | FlaglerLive | 4 Comments

Note: The charges against Stacy Jackson were dropped and the case expunged from the court record on Nov. 19, 2014.

A violent domestic confrontation between a man and a woman over Facebook images on a cell phone spilled onto the street on Pine Hill Lane in Palm Coast Tuesday morning and resulted in the jailing of 43-year-old Stacey Lee Jackson on three charges, including aggravated assault.

The victim told police that he’d been sitting on the couch next to Jackson in the P Section when the couple started arguing about pictures of other women on the alleged victim’s Facebook account. Jackson got angry, slammed the phone on the ground and began hitting him, according to a police report. She then grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened him.

The alleged victim, a 51, is disabled, and could only lumber out of the house slowly, he told police. He got out of the house and walked down the road, calling for help, which got the attention of a neighbor who brought the man his cell phone, enabling him to call 911. The witness told police that he saw Jackson walking quickly behind the victim and yelling at him, though there’s no mention of a knife.

In Jackson’s telling to police, the argument had started during a car trip and continued in the house as she questioned her boyfriend about the pictures. She said that when she tried to take the phone away from him, he pushed her on the couch, held her down and struck her in the head several times. The arrest report notes that a bump was observe d on Jackson’s forehead. She did not mention a knife.

Jackson was arrested on charges of criminal mischief, domestic battery and domestic aggravated assault. The charges were later dropped, and the case was expunged from the court record.

She’s not drunk, it’s natural. Death threats with a knife sounds pretty calm to me. And he’s a cripple, not even a fair fight. Low bond, she can’t afford it.
