12 Years in a Row: FPC Marching Band Bulldogs and Starlets Straight Superior Again

A baker's dozen of Superiors for Flagler Palm Coast High School's band, under the direction of John Seth.
A baker’s dozen of Superiors for Flagler Palm Coast High School’s band, under the direction of John Seth.

They’ve done it again. This time it’s a baker’s dozen’s worth of Superiors. John Seth, the band director at Flagler Palm Coast High School, sent the following note to colleagues across the district this week:

Please congratulate the Flagler Palm Coast High School Marching Bulldogs. Saturday, October 25 the band traveled to Fleming Island High School for the Florida Bandmasters Association District 21 (Putnam,St. Johns, Clay, and Flagler County) Marching Band Music Performance Assessment. The band was assessed in the categories of Music Performance, General Effect, Marching and Maneuvering, Auxiliary (Color Guard), and Percussion.

The FPC Band and Starlets earned the highest rating possible in all categories by earning Straight Superior ratings. This is 12 years in a row of superior ratings for the FPC Marching Band. This year only 6 of the 15 groups that performed earned straight superiors. These students have worked very hard to represent our school. Please encourage them today!

WOW!!!!! Brought tears of joy to my eyes watching the video. So much hard work behind an outstanding performance. What a great selection of tunes – from classic to rock! You are all sensational!
My alma mater, West Genesee, in NYS, were champions for most of the past 50 years, and I may go to the next big reunion, when they march in a memorial day parade from all years of grads, and may even be in the Macy’s Day Parade. You rejuvenated me – you inspire me. Thank you.

how awesome! I was a member in Jr. (Winter Park) & H.S. band at Edgewater, Orlando & I still remember all the drill practice (in the hot FL sun) I applaud them… it’s hard work, but worth it!
