Mondex Man Faces 2 Attempted Murder Charges After Chasing and Tipping Ex’s SUV

William Jordan, a 51-year-old resident of Bunnell’s Mondex–also known as Daytona North–is in jail on $60,000 bond this afternoon, facing attempted murder and aggravated battery charges after he rammed his ex-wife’s car on its side as she was riding the car with a friend Tuesday evening in the Mondex.

It started while Judy Kiziukiewicz, 63, was at the Mondex Country Store with Wayne Hair, 61, when they saw a fire truck go by. Kiziukiewicz, who still lives with her ex-husband because of his health issues (he stays in a separate apartment within the house), worried that Jordan may have done something to the house: he’d tried to set it on fire previously, she told police, according to a Flagler County Sheriff’s report. So she and Hair got in her car and drove to the house she owns at 1616 Laurel Ave., to check on Jordan.

As the pair was pulling up to the house–a small house on a large lot, with a marker at the head of the driveway that says “Bill & Judy’s Fram” in white letters painted on a wooden slab resting on a stone–Jordan was in his 1997 Chrysler Voyager, a purple minivan, at the end of the driveway. When he saw Kiziukiewicz with Hair in the same car, he began chasing them, according to the report.

Kiziukiewicz told police she drove to a friend’s house on Mango Avenue, a mile away. At least three times along the way, according to the report, Jordan rammed the back of her Toyota SUV, allegedly trying to run her off the road. Avocado Boulevard, the road connecting the two addresses Kiziukiewicz was driving from and to, is paved, as most of the roads in the Mondex are not. When Kiziukiewicz made the turn onto Mango Avenue (a dirt road) and tried to turn into the driveway at 5856, Jordan, according to the report, slammed the Toyota again and tipped it on its side, triggering its front and side airbags.

Jordan then lost control of his minivan and crashed it into a tree on the property.

When a deputy was dispatched to the scene at 6:30 p.m., the initial report was of a car crash with injuries. On his way to the scene, the deputy was told that the crash may have been the result of an intentional act by a man with a gun in his vehicle. By the time the deputy reached the scene, Hair and Kiziukiewicz had gone into her friend’s home. Jordan was still at the wheel of his van, which has a disability tag.

The deputy approached Jordan. When the deputy asked Jordan to show his hands, Jordan showed him the finger instead and said: “Fuck you.”

The deputy decided to wait for back-up, having by then recognized Jordan “from past incidents and dealing with him,” according to the deputy’s report. (Jordan has never been arrested in Flagler County before.) Once back-up arrived, Jordan was more cooperative. He told deputies he was upset at seeing his ex-wife with another man. He told them he had health issues. He was checked, transported to Florida Hospital Flagler, where he refused all treatment, then he was taken to jail.

Kiziukiewicz’s Toyota was towed. Jordan asked that his van be left in his ex-wife’s care, along with his dog. Wednesday afternoon, the van was still where it had crashed into the tree on the property at Mango Avenue. All else was still.
