Palm Coast resident Katherine Galliher, 50, was briefly jailed Tuesday after throwing a cat at her boyfriend of three years, allegedly busting his lip open.
Galliher, a resident of Brownstone Lane in Palm Coast, was having an argument late Tuesday with her 48-year-old boyfriend, who told authorities that the verbal argument was over several things. According to an incident report, he said Galliher “continued to try to pick a fight” until, at one point, she “took their cat and threw it at him, striking him in the face [and] busting his lip.” The victim claims that Galliher then “grabbed him by both his arms, trying to push him.”
Galliher was arrested and booked at the Flagler County jail on a first degree misdemeanor domestic battery charge. She was released without bond. She had faced a first degree misdemeanor charge of writing a worthless check in 2011, but that charge was dropped. The Flagler County Sheriff’s report on the incident leaves silent the nature or condition of the cat after the altercation.

Something tells me the cat may be the most innocent party here.

Go girl.. If that’s all the police have worry about , maybe we’re overstaffed.

Where are the animal abuse charges??

I think the cat should have an interview ASAP by our local newspaper!

Is it just me, or are the local police arresting people for anything these days. I am really getting tired of their privacy invasions into EVERYTHING. Its like living in Germany during the Nazi Brown Boots and Hitler. Guess they have to fill up that New Jail coming in 2015….I hear the Correction and Inmate business does rather well in this country these days !!!
Because says
The cat needs tp be rescued…..hope there are no children in the home
JGarcia says
Some of these comments are unsettling. Domestic violence is no joke. Animal cruelty is no joke. The police did the right thing in arresting her. They were on the scene and they made call to take her in and separate them. Now, let the courts handle this and maybe get them some help.

Women can be so catty.

This is the second strangest story I’ve ever heard of hitting a person with an animal.

People WAKE UP !!! The police are using EVERY excuse to arrest you or take your property as to REMOVE your unalienable RIGHTS as an American citizen. If they can STICK a FELONY charge on you then it takes away your RIGHTS to possess a weapon and to vote. Its a MASTER PLAN to weaken society and destroy the CONSTITUTION of AMERICA………WAKE UP !!!!!!
A.S.F. says
The police know that Domestic Violence calls often turn out to be the most dangerous calls they respond to. Trying to make the issue of Domestic Violence part of some diatribe against the police or gun control or as a justification for letting abuse slide because doing something about it constitutes a nebulous threat to someone’s notion of privacy is unconvincing and unacceptable.

I hope the cat was taken into protective custody.
