Flagler Beach’s Second Annual Great Bed Race: If you weren’t there, you missed one of the year’s most exhilarating, hilarious and creative events in the county. Not to mention generous: the money raised (we’ll have a figure for you when it comes in) will go to Flagler County’s neediest children.
Fourteen teams—14 beds with five team members each—entered, 14 raced in pairs down and up and through South 2nd St. and South Daytona Ave. A crowd of about 1,000 lined and cheered the way, and in the end all sorts of winners were announced: those who won the actual timed race, those who won all sorts of other categories.

Most Beautiful: High Tides
