Thank you Attorney Marc Dwyer for you community compassion pro bono and professionalism thru Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida that is an outstanding entity that helps the needy. I know one case taking place right now that should be in the news of a disable elderly lady in Volusia County with minimum income being forced to travel by bus and rent a postal box (P.O. Box ) for $208 a year in the post office to receive her mail over the refusal of two tyrannical unreasonable women comndo board directors (president and secretary) influencing their condo board members and membership to deny her right to have a mail reception box in the building common area, year after year. Of course the two do it with all the members association funds to pay their Association attorney. What an autocrat waste of money as the disable lady is heading to win her case with the help of the Community Legal Services of Mid Florida, obviously! Hope she not also will get her needed mailbox deliverey on the building but refunds for her medical visit and exam cost demanded by the association attorney āto certify her disabilityā when is known she doesnāt even own or drive a car because of it, and also be refunded the yearly costs she paid for a postal box and bus travel expenses to it as well as her exception as an association member of paying her member share of the costly attorney the board hired against her! Needless to say that she should also ask for pain and suffering as that assoc president told the affected elderly lady that she needed to stop her goal for ther postal box as she āwas making a lot of enemies in the buildingā and in a meeting was unceresmousniously disrespected by the same woman president after the requester softly and respectfully insisted about being approved the box, the president reply was āif she didnlt like it she could always moveā . That is her homesteaded home were not elderly should be threat or mistreated. As a matter of fact the association attorney hired against this disable lady should be paid by the board of directors members individually that in a very arbitrary manner denied the postal boxes not only to her but other 30 plus condo association members some elderly and even wheel chair bound some which many times presented the request to the president and because feel intimidated in the same manner did not contact the elderly lady attorney to join the case. Of course they do not want to be told āyou making enemies by the one at the helmā in a condo building were they have their home.. No common sense but just uncompassionate arrogance of these two directors women driven condominium BOD, to ignore and denied a Request for Reasonable Accomodation for Disability under the the Fair Housing Act that defines persons with a disability to mean those individuals with mental or physical impairments that substantially limit one or more major life activities. need.
