Michael Anthony Campanaro of Palm Coast’s Barrister Lane got into a verbal argument with several people at the Coquina Lanes Bowling Center bar on Old Kings Road earlier today. The argument got out of control. By 4:30 this morning, Campanaro was in the Flagler County jail, facing an aggravated assault charge, according to police records.
According to three witnesses listed in a Flagler County Sheriff’s Offfice report, Campanaro and Sean Christman allegedly started a verbal scuffle with Randy Lott Jr. and two other patrons named Josh and Miles outside the bowling lanes’ bar around 3 a.m. this morning.
The argument got heated. Lott tried to break it up. Campanaro allegedly charged Lott, shoving him to the ground. Lott hit the back of his head on the pavement and lost consciousness for half a minute. Witnesses say Campanero punched Lott in the face after Lott had lost consciousness. Lott’s head bled, according to the deputy who responded to the call. Lott was taken to the hospital.
By then Campanero had driven off. Campanaro, 22, a native of New York now of 43 Barrister Lane, was stopped as he was driving onto I-95 southbound and arrested. The aggravated asssault charge he faces is a felony.
