Mr. Maloney, even in the ever-tightening grip of dementia, knew that
he had to get the hell out of Palm Coast. Give him credit – he put
a lot of miles between Palm Coast and his rear-view mirror.
He certainly had the right idea!
Sadly, it’s time to hide the keys or empty the fuel tank.
A knew a doctor with dementia (he was 90) whose children
drained the fuel out of his beloved station wagon and hid his keys.
He had a raging case of wanderlust. Every morning he went to start
the car to no avail. Afterwards, he’d forget until the next day and
start the process all over again.
GOOD LUCK TO MR. MALONEY AND HIS FAMILY.
It’s not easy.

I’m so thankful he was found safe…. I lost my parents very young in their lives, I am thankful neither grew old to suffer or have serious problems to cause us worries, but I sure do miss them… Good luck to Mr Maloney and his family….
